County party structure in Michigan
A County Republican Party (often referred to as a County GOP) is the official local organization of the Republican Party within each of Michigan's 83 counties. County GOP organizations form the foundation of the party's grassroots structure and serve as the primary point of contact for Republican voters, volunteers, candidates, and precinct delegates at the local level.
Each County Republican Party operates under the rules of the Michigan Republican Party and the Republican National Committee. While leadership structures vary slightly by county, most organizations are governed by elected county chairs and executive committees.
Political engagement in Michigan begins locally. County Republican Parties build volunteer networks, support ballot access efforts, and prepare for primary and general elections.
