The MIGOP moved the convention to March to counter Democratic maneuvers and provide candidates with a six-month head start in fundraising, messaging, and grassroots organizing before the general election.

A statewide convention where credentialed Republican delegates vote on the party’s endorsed slate for key statewide offices and boards ahead of the 2026 election cycle.
