Marist University funds the poll. Registered-voter study uses live phone, text and online modes. A likely-voter probability weight is applied to registered respondents; 1,185 is the registered-voter study base, not a separately recruited likely-voter sample. Displayed likely-voter initial ballot includes another-party, undecided and volunteered nonresponse options. The ±4.3 points is the publisher-reported LV uncertainty.

Methods and source notes

Public release and linked toplines/methodology checked. Study of 586 registered voters online; likely-voter-weighted results, with a 586 unweighted base in both tables. Crosstabs explicitly identify On Point Polling sponsorship, not paid for by a candidate or committee. Use as-asked multi-candidate results, not the separately published modeled allocation of undecided voters. Displayed shares retain release precision; margins are calculated from those shares. Reported weighting-adjusted ±5.2 points is attributed to the pollster, not certification of probability sampling.

Mode: online panel. Population: LV. Sponsor: On Point Polling; not paid for by a candidate or committee. Ballot version: initial multi-candidate ballot without modeled undecided allocation.

Reading the evidence

Compare fieldwork and methods before interpreting a difference.

Field dates show when people answered.

A release can appear days after interviews end. The plot uses release dates; each table row also shows fieldwork.

Samples and response options differ.

Likely-voter models, registered-voter bases, modes, named candidates and leaner questions affect comparability. Read the source notes.

Reported uncertainty is not a forecast.

Sampling error is one source of uncertainty. Turnout assumptions, nonresponse and wording also matter. The displayed difference is subtraction, not a probability of winning.

Candidate-choice surveys can already include crossover voters. Endorsements and interviews do not establish an additional polling adjustment. Read the reported distinction between primary crossover and November defections.

Sources and inclusion rules

This page uses the atlas’s selected, sourced ballot-test ledger. Older entries retain their own verification dates. New records require an original release or commissioning organization’s report and an explicit verification status. Missing details stay missing.

Guidant and Wedgewood have unresolved release dates; their four records remain table-only. Mitchell’s October Senate report has conflicting field-date language, disclosed in its row. Previously identified source limitations and separately qualified supplemental findings remain available in the atlas.

Percentages are displayed as published. Rounding and unshown answers can prevent a row from totaling 100%. “Difference” is the displayed Democratic share minus Republican share, labeled by the candidate with the higher value. Read the atlas’s polling context and supplemental material.
